Earth Planet Produces 8 Billion Viable Host Organisms
Humanoids are said to be ideal nesting vessels for gestating larvae.
“The world’s population milestone of 8 billion people has long-term significance for both rich and poor countries. While it took hundreds of thousands of years for the world’s population to reach 1 billion, the world grew from 7 billion to 8 billion just since 2010, a reflection of advancements in health.” — CBS News, Nov. 15, 2022
GLAXOR QUADRANT — Nitrogen-rich Earth Planet 117§ has produced at least 8 billion viable host organisms, according to new data released by the Planetary Assimilation Ministry (PAM).
The tiny organic life-supporting orb has beat initial projections by generating an additional one billion humanoids since PAM’s last survey eleven solar cycles ago. The milestone moves up the timetable for initiating a fertilization-based takeover to early next galactic orbit, insiders with knowledge of the repopulation project claim.
“When our ancestors seeded Earth Planet 117§ with humanoid genetic material over seven million cycles ago, they could have never imagined it reaching colonization viability at such a rapid rate,” High Elder Myxyx said in a statement provided to news media by the Eternal Hive. “We’re absolutely thrilled with the prospect that our most promising future outpost might even reach 9 billion host bodies, ready and waiting to incubate our unborn, within the next 15 cycles.”
Humanoids are preferred host organisms for interspecific assimilation due to their reliable adult-stage size and innate biological ability to sustain and birth live young. The species’ soft abdomens are easily piercable by chitinous oviducts, and their adjacent chest cavities are encased by so-called “rib cages” made of “bones” — a sort of internal exoskeleton which has the ideal density to protect egg sacs while still brittle enough for larvae to snap with their mandibles upon hatching.
But some in the Hive are wary that the current pace of procreation could potentially breach sustainability levels post-invasion. ”As this crop of humanoids grows, resources on EP117§ are becoming both scarcer and increasingly contaminated by their primitive technology and energy production,” a high-ranking Hive official shared under the condition of…
